Champions Leagu Preview Napoli Vs Liverpool, Klopp to make Changes

Naby Keita is likely to be recalled to the Liverpool starting XI for their Champions League clash against Napoli on Wednesday night. There could also be a third start for the club for Xherdan Shaqiri as manager Jurgen Klopp makes changes to the side that drew 1-1 in last Saturday’s thriller against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Daniel Sturridge rescued a point for the Merseysiders with a sensational late equaliser, but he might have to settle for a place on the bench again in Naples. Klopp will almost certainly field what he thinks is his strongest available XI as Liverpool navigate what is a tricky start to a testing Champions League group. A 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain two weeks ago has given the club some breathing space but they would dearly love some more by triumphing against Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Keita brought aggression and progression from the centre of the pitch when he replaced Jordan Henderson in the second half at Chelsea, and could now be handed a starting place on Wednesday having found himself in and out of the side since arriving from RB Leipzig for £52million in the summer. That would mean the skipper, 28, making way, as it is hard to see James Milner or Georginio Wijnaldum missing out after their excellent starts to the season. The defence and goalkeeper pick themselves, and Klopp is likely to stick with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino at the top of the pitch. One forward who could make way is Sadio Mane, who was a little below par in both the Chelsea matches last week and he could lose out to Shaqiri, with Firmino and Salah both moving inside to cater for the Swiss.
