Marcelo: Liverpool is not just Salah they have Firmino and Mane

Marcelo refused to concentrate solely on Mohamed Salah as Liverpool’s main threat, acknowledging the role of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. Real Madrid’s fullback spoke to UEFA.com on the upcoming final and how his side are preparing for the game against the Reds. “In a final, everything can happen, we have been training very well,” the 30-year-old said. “We will not change anything of what we normally do, the most important thing is to give everything we can in the game to be able to leave the field with the assurance of having left everything on the pitch and having done what the coach asked us. The goal is to play well and win the final. “Playing the Champions League is a satisfaction for any player and winning it is a highlight in a player’s career. “Every game is different and Liverpool is not just Salah, they have Firmino and Mané too, they have some players who can change a game, especially in a final, and we are aware that we can not concentrate on a particular player,” he added. Salah has faced Real Madrid in the Champions League when he was an AS Roma player, and played against Marcelo in the London Olympics when the Egypt international scored against Brazil. The final will be played on Saturday May 26 at Kiev between the two giants and if Salah managed to fire two goals in the game he will be highest goal scorer in all competitions this year. A win for the Reds also means Salah will become the first Egyptian to lift the Champions League trophy.
