Eden Hazard calm on Chelsea FC future after FA Cup win

Eden Hazard has refused to be drawn about the speculation about his future after helping to fire Chelsea FC to an FA Cup final win over Manchester United. The 27-year-old Belgian scored the Blues’ eventual winner from the penalty spot in the first half at Wembley as the Blues ended what has been a largely difficult campaign on a positive note. Hazard’s future has been a relentless source of speculation in recent seasons, and the situation is likely to rear its head again this summer. The uncertainty surrounding the Belgian’s situation is likely to be amplified by the fact that Chelsea FC missed out on Champions League qualification for next season due to their fifth placed finish in the Premier League. Hazard has long been touted as a target for Real Madrid and it remains to be seen whether that speculation will result in something concrete this summer or not. And the Belgian did not seem to be in a mood to give much away after he was quizzed about his future following the win over the Red Devils. Speaking to BBC Sport, Hazard said: “Right now I’m just happy to see our fans celebrate the trophy. We didn’t play a great season but at least we finished well.” Chelsea FC are likely to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as they look to assemble a team capable of winning the title next term.
