Wenger has cast doubt over the future of Arsenal star

Arsene Wenger has spoken about Arsenal fans’ favourite Santi Cazorla and his future at the club, as per Football London. Cazorla has not played for 18 months, with his last game being the 6-0 win over Ludogorets in the Champions League, with his last Gunners goal being the stoppage time penalty against Southampton in the Premier League in September 2016. An Achilles injury, followed by nine operations, has kept him out of the Arsenal team sheet for this lengthy spell. There was also a worry that he was close to losing his foot after he contracted an infection after one of the operations, but thankfully, those worries didn’t materilise into reality. azorla’s current contract runs out at the end of the seaso, but Wenger expects him to travel back to London to talk with him about his future at the Emirates. "He will come back before the end of the season and we will make a check and see where he stands. Can he play again in the Premier League? I don’t know, we will have to see how he responds to his injury. We missed him a lot in our game. He is an exceptional football player. It’s very sad what’s happened to him and very sad for Arsenal as well what happened to him."
