This £67.5m-rated Spanish Player would make Chelsea serious title contenders next season

The Chelsea fans within the Transfer Tavern are disheartened to say the least to see their season go from bad to worse. Consequently now, Champions League qualification looks near-on impossible. It’s been the nightmare second season for Antonio Conte and his men, after performing incredibly well to win the title last year, Chelsea look a shadow of their former selves and will pay the price in missing out on the top four. The summer could been seen as one of the most important transfer windows in recent history for Chelsea with a number of their rivals starting to pull away with the huge amounts of quality they are acquiring. Therefore, the Blues need to find a way to trump the big spenders such as Man City and Man United, by going out and splashing the cash on Real Madrid star Marco Asensio, who is valued at £67.50 million on Transfermarkt. The Spaniard has had another successful season with Los Blancos and although some have said he hasn’t been as good as his rise to fame last season, Asensio has scored 10 goals, the same amount as last season and has the same amount of assists already as last season (4). Chelsea have seen their transfer dealings fail miserably this year and with the hope of returning to the top four at least next season, the Blues will desperately need some new, exciting talent in order to do that. Considering the vast array of attacking on offer to Zinedine Zidane in the Spanish capital, even a player such as Asensio could struggle for game time, so Chelsea should do their very best to make a play for him. Our punters would love to see Asensio arrive in the Premier League and with the Spaniard possessing the ability to play in a number of positions, this transfer could effectively save the Blues a lot of money as well.
