Liverpool set to complete the deal for AS MONACO'S Christian Koffi

Liverpool are aiming to bring AS Monaco youngster Christian Koffi to Anfield from the French side in the summer transfer window, according to reports in France. Koffi is a 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, and has recently been offered a professional contract with the current Ligue 1 champions. However, it looks like Jurgen Klopp may be looking to grab him and bring him to Merseyside in the next transfer window. In the previous two transfer windows, the Reds have been heavily linked with Monaco star Thomas Lemar, who has spoken about how privileged he is to be wanted by Liverpool. The possible transfer of Koffi does not mean they have any less interest in Lemar as he’d be seen as a player for the future, not one who would go straight into the first team.
Koffi has been likend to current Liverpool player Sadio Mané, as his attributes are similar to the Senegalese winger. His performances in the youth system of Monaco have attracted interest from many European giants, but it looks like Liverpool are the most likely to grab his signature at this stage.
