Chelsea Manager has really let two Chelsea Players down so Badly this season

The Blues will be looking to challenge for the Premier League title next season after failing to defend the trophy in the current campaign, as it looks like they won’t have Champions League football to worry about. Although, there are a number of changes that need to be made during the summer months, as players continue to stagnate behind the scenes. Indeed, Antonio Conte has been rather harsh on a couple of first-team members in the current campaign, as they’ve lost out on valuable minutes in the side after doing very little wrong. So, there’s no doubt that there will be a couple of unhappy players at the end of the season, with many of our local residents hoping that the club can resolve this over the summer. Therefore, here’s a look at TWO Chelsea stars that Antonio Conte has let down badly this season…

Ross Barkley has had a torrid time of things since making the move from Everton in the January transfer window, as his talents continue to be wasted at the club. Indeed, the Englishman had his sights set on becoming a first-team regular at Stamford Bridge, but manager Antonio Conte even dropped him into the development squad at one point due to a lack of fitness. Therefore, Barkley will be frustrated with his time in the English capital so far this season, as Conte has left him out of the squad on numerous occasions with a regular first-team place looking unlikely.

Danny Drinkwater has had a season to forget in many respects as he spends most of his time on the substitutes’ bench, with Conte even opting to leave him out of the squad for some matches. Indeed, the Englishman will have been hoping to pick up where he left off at Leicester City with a World Cup spot in his sights, but a lack of minutes in the current campaign has meant that he’s struggled for consistency.
Therefore, Antonio Conte really has let the 28-year-old down so far this season, as he’s taken up the role of a squad rotation player and could now miss out on a place in the England squad for the trip to Russia.
