Official:3 Chelsea Players out of Tottenham clash on Sunday

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed three players will be out of their game against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday despite two of them returning to light training recently. The Blues are hoping to beat Spurs in the game on Sunday to move closer to their London rivals in the Premier League standings. Conte’s side lie fifth and are four points off Spurs who place fourth with seven games to go. The Premier League champions will go into the crucial game without David Luiz, Ross Barkley and Ethan Ampadu.

Conte on Barkley: "Barkley has started to have the training sessions. We prefer him to train with the U23 and play on Saturday (in the Development squad). We are talking about a player who has come back from a bad injury."

Conte adds that Ampadu is injured and out for the season. Cahill is the only one who can deputise for Christensen.
The absence of Luiz who could have deputized for the injured Andreas Christensen, means club captain Gary Cahill will be the one to deputize in the middle of the central defense against Spurs. Conte will hope to have his star players fit again early enough to seal a place in the last top of the Premier League, with only seven games to go.
